In 2010, after watching a Houston officer lose his K9 partner in the line of duty, Kristi launched what would become a nationally recognized nonprofit: K9s4COPs (now K9s.org). Her mission: deliver fully trained police dogs to departments, schools, and hospitals that can’t afford them. The result? 250+ K9s placed in 37 states, countless lives protected, and one hell of a legacy.
